About St. John'sWorship Services      
Worship at St. John's Minimize

Worship is the central focus of congregational life at St. John’s.  As the gathered people are nourished by Word and Sacrament, they are strengthened and empowered to take Christ’s ministry into the community and the world.  Worship at St. John’s is offered in a manner that both respects the Church’s tradition and is relevant to our own time and circumstances.  Various settings and services from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship Book and With One Voice are used for worship throughout the church year.

St. John’s sanctuary is climate controlled year 'round for the comfort of all worshipers.

Services Minimize

Saturday – 5:30 p.m.
A relaxed worship service in the chapel with Holy Communion, and the opportunity for individual prayer and anointing for those who desire it.

Sunday – 8:00 a.m.
A traditional service of Lutheran liturgy, particularly designed for early risers!

Sunday – 10:45 a.m.
A traditional service of Lutheran liturgy with the splendid music of St. John's Choirs.

  • The nursery is available for pre-school age children during this service.
  • A Coffee Hour is held in the Gathering Place following this service.

Holy Communion is celebrated the first, third, and fith Sundays of the month at the 10:45 a.m. Service and the second and fourth Sundays of the month at the 8 a.m. service.  On festivals, Holy Communion is celebrated at both Sunday morning services.

Summer Worship, usually the months of June, July, and August, is ONE service of Holy Communion celebrated at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.
